Another reminder of why preventative maintenance matters, especially in critical environments.

We recently attended an urgent service call at a major hospital after overheating issues developed within a critical communications/server room when two CRAC units went offline on high-pressure faults.

Following our on-site investigation, we identified severely blocked strainers on both circuits of the affected units. The lack of regular maintenance before our arrival had caused the systems to fail and shut down.

After cleaning the strainers and resetting the units, both systems were returned to normal operation the very same day.

In critical applications like hospitals and data rooms, even basic routine maintenance and inspections can prevent major downtime, equipment stress, and operational disruption.

A great outcome for the site and another example of why proactive HVAC maintenance is essential for critical infrastructure.
